Join Chef Chris Thompson of The National, Telluride, for a culinary trip through Italy. Chef Thompson has partnered with the luxury travel brand Travel-Well LLC to curate a trip of a lifetime, viewed through the lens of an authentic and grounded luxury experience that is truly Italian.

Chef Thompson's vision for this journey is to pull the ingredients he uses daily in his restaurant in Telluride directly from the ground in Italy. Experience the true farm-to-table journey, connecting with local artisans, purveyors, and the beautiful landscape of Puglia.

Itinerary

  • Arrive in Bari and transfer to Masseria Calderisi to settle in, followed by a special welcome dinner set within an olive oil orchard.

  • Explore the vibrant markets and quiet alleys of Ostuni on a curated walk, learn the art of making buffalo mozzarella, and enjoy an olive orchard dinner at Masseria Morosseta.

  • Participate in a hands-on cooking class, take an afternoon coastal sail from Polignano a Mare to Monopoli complete with Aperol spritz and light bites, and wrap up the evening with dinner at Antichi Sapori Montegrosso.

  • Take a private tour of L'Acropoli di Puglia olive oil mill in Martina Franca for press tastings, followed by an exploration of the charming hill town of Locorotondo.

  • Embark on a guided food tour of Monopoli with lunch included, then spend a leisurely afternoon unwinding at Mali, Masseria Calderisi's private beach club.

  • Tour local vineyards to explore regional Italian wine varietals, enjoy an olive orchard picnic and oil tasting, and conclude with a curated wine-paired dinner under the stars.
